You may start wondering whether what are the lines or have they been edited in photoshop. No, it isn't. This is the effect of very long shutter speed feature of DSLR's and some compact cameras. With a very long shutter, all the lights passing through the lens are captured. Therefore the line lights you see are the front and back lights of cars passing.
